Dont let the outside appearance and the construction disuade you from staying here.The rooms are a class act! Modern, huge, huge tvs , extremely clean.I am a picky person and when checking in the staff was young and I judged that as not professional.There were very professional, helpful,and don't miss a fresh hot,FREE, breakfast with omletetes made  to order and hot Free snacks at nite.Location is perfect ,right next to the botanical gardens which is FREE too.They also have a free shuttle to where you need to go.My room was not old smelling in any way ,but they even had an air purifier in the room and I was so impressed.I would live here if I could afford it.It was that good.I will come back to Ok City just to stay here again!

I would have loved to have been here "after" all the Street Construction was completed & the Restaurant Construction was completed, but I still enjoyed my stay & the Staff was very helpful when I had a question. I just wish there had been a swimming pool &/or hot tub or at least a Bath Tub in my Room to relax in after my meetings at the Cox Center

First floor under construction but remainder of hotel was very well done. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. The kids even commented on it.

Downtown Oklahoma City is undergoing MAJOR construction to streets, sidewalks, buildings, etc. The Colcord sits in the middle of the mess. Their location is excellent - steps from Bricktown and across the street from the Convention Center - but like everything in downtown it is surrounded by street construction and mud. The Colcord staff bent over backward  to be helpful in every way possible. The parking situation in the city is a mess - and the hotel only charges $10 to valet park - a deal! To make up for the construction hassle, the hotel is offering FREE hot breakfast (it was delicious!) and FREE hot appetizers all afternoon and evening. They have created a beautiful lounge area open to all guests where breakfast and dinner/appetizers are served. Did I mention all this is complimentary? To top it off, each staff member - valet, front desk staff, concierge staff, housekeeping - made it a point to ask if I needed help, and went out of their way to offer assistance. When I asked where the ice machine was a staff member kindly took my ice bucket and delivered the ice to me rather than just telling me which floor it was on. I will always stay at the Colcord when I'm in OKC. It's beautiful, historic hotel, but the staff is what makes it a great place to stay. They pay attention to the details!

Other then ALL the construction(which has nothing to do with the hotel) our stay at this hotel was WONDERFUL! We met another couple in Oklahoma City and we barely wanted to leave the hotel because it was so comfortable and relaxing! Could be because our 3 kids were not with us but the room was truely relaxing. When you are staying here do yourself a  favor and go to Bricktown to the dueling piano bar! We really had a good time for the weekend and will be returning soon!

Without question, the Colcord is my favorite hotel in Okla City. Unfortunately all the construction around the hotel seems like it will never end but it's unavoidable downtown for awhile. The Colcord is very warm and friendly, near all the downtown attractions yet quiet and comfy.

i have enjoyed my stay, i have never seen such a friendly staff just out a fairy book, the food was so good and healthy, i will go back, that is the best for its price, there was a lot of street commotion due to the builders

The area around the hotel is under heavy construction so finding the place was quite difficult. The single King room was spacious and clean. The ipod doc did not work, but otherwise everything was in working order. The courtesy shuttle was nice, they dropped us off at a restaurant and picked us up after. All around great value for the price.

The Colcord is a wonderful hotel, but the construction around it made it very difficult to gain access. The road directly in front of the hotel is blocked. You have to enter on Sheritan. Once we arrived at the hotel, everything was wonderful. It was worth all the trouble to find. The Colcord was the perfect choice to stay at in OK City. We will visit  again.
