Recent Colcord Hotel Review: "Downtown Oklahoma City is undergoing MAJOR construction to streets, sidewalks, buildings, etc. The Colcord sits in the middle of the mess. Their location is excellent - steps from Bricktown and across the street from the Convention Center - but like everything in downtown it is surrounded by street construction and mud. The Colcord staff bent over backward  to be helpful in every way possible. The parking situation in the city is a mess - and the hotel only charges $10 to valet park - a deal! To make up for the construction hassle, the hotel is offering FREE hot breakfast (it was delicious!) and FREE hot appetizers all afternoon and evening. They have created a beautiful lounge area open to all guests where breakfast and dinner/appetizers are served. Did I mention all this is complimentaryr To top it off, each staff member - valet, front desk staff, concierge staff, housekeeping - made it a point to ask if I needed help, and went out of their way to offer assistance. When I asked where the ice machine was a staff member kindly took my ice bucket and delivered the ice to me rather than just telling me which floor it was on. I will always stay at the Colcord when I'm in OKC. It's beautiful, historic hotel, but the staff is what makes it a great place to stay. They pay attention to the details!"
